This privacy policy applies to the Flyleaf browser extension (hereby referred to as "Extension") created by Abraham Aremu (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Flyleaf does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. It has no analytics, no accounts, and no servers, and it makes no network requests of its own.
To show a page in reader mode, Flyleaf reads the content of the page you are currently viewing — and only after you activate the reader on that page — so it can extract the article text and re-render it in a clean layout. This processing happens entirely on your device. Page content is never sent to the Service Provider or to any third party.
A reader mode has to be able to read whatever page you are on, and that can be any site on the web. The site-access permission is used solely to offer reader mode on the current page; the Extension injects nothing into a page until you open the reader there, and it never transmits page content off your device.
Flyleaf saves your own preferences — such as theme, zoom, line height, which sites you have enabled the reader on, and any per-site previous/next controls you train. This data is stored locally in your browser using the browser's storage (Chrome sync storage), which may sync it across your own signed-in browsers. It is only your settings, it stays within your browser account, and it is never sent to the Service Provider or any third party.
No. Because the Extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere, no data is shared with third parties.
You can clear the Extension's stored settings at any time from your browser's extension settings, and you can remove all of its data by uninstalling the Extension.
The Extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Because the Extension does not collect or transmit your information, there is no personal data in transit or held on any server that could be exposed.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
